Jávea has a very mild climate all year round. Thanks to the Montgó mountain which acts as a barrier, the town is sheltered from the continental cold in the winter and benefits from the sea winds and easterly breezes which ease the summer heat.
According to a scientific study carried out in the nineties, Jávea’s microclimate was considered the second best in the world, with Río de Janeiro coming first.
