The increased amounts of pollen in the air, usually from February to April, due to the large amount of pine trees and other plants and trees in our area. The pollen stains all surfaces a greenish yellow colour, including the water in your pool, and in the event of heavy rain it can saturate the filtering capability of the water treatment unit.
Another relevant phenomenon is the rain that occasionally – especially in spring and autumn (although it can occur at any time of the year) – falls mixed with dust originating from the Sahara desert. “Red rain” can muddy the water and also saturate the filtering capability of the water treatment unit.
